Safety Guidelines for Electric Skateboards

Protective Gear

  • Always wear protective gear: This includes a helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, and gloves to protect against head injuries, scrapes, and bruises.

Familiarization and Inspection

  • Know your board: Understand how it operates and practice in a safe area before riding in public.
  • Inspect the board regularly: Check for damage, ensure the battery is in good condition, and verify the brakes and wheels are functioning properly.

Riding Practices

  • Stay alert and focused: Avoid using your phone or other devices while riding. Be aware of your surroundings at all times.
  • Ride within your limits: Do not attempt tricks or speeds beyond your ability.
  • Follow traffic rules: Obey traffic signals, signs, and lane markings. Avoid riding on sidewalks unless permitted locally.

Safety Precautions

  • Avoid riding in wet conditions: This can cause loss of control and void the warranty.
  • Manage speed: Higher speeds increase the risk of falls and collisions. Ride at speeds you can control.
  • Be cautious with batteries: Regularly check for any issues and avoid riding when the battery is low or full.

Additional Tips

  • Learn how to fall properly: Knowing how to fall can reduce injury severity.
  • Use lights at night: Front and rear lights help you see and be seen.
  • Avoid obstacles: Steer clear of bumps, rocks, and other hazards that can cause accidents.

WARNING MESSAGE

Avoid Water

  • Avoid water: The board is not waterproof. Electronics, bearings, and other components may be damaged due to water ingress. Water damage is not covered by warranty.
  • Danger of riding in wet conditions: Riding in wet conditions is very dangerous and may cause injury to yourself and others.

Avoid Abuse

  • No rough handling: The board is not designed to be subjected to rough handling. Do not jump on the board, do not ride off gutters or curbs, do not smash the board into hard objects, and do not drop the board on the ground for starting operation. Although the product has been made to handle spirited riding, it is still an electrical product and needs to be handled with care and respect. Our warranty does not cover any damage to the board as a result of rough handling or misuse.

Risk of Injury

  • Risk of serious injury or death: Whenever you ride an electric skateboard, you risk serious injury or even death from loss of control, collisions, and falls. While this manual and other information included on our website and with your board provide guidance on how to most safely use your board, failure to exercise due care, skill, and diligence may put you at risk of serious injury or death should you lose control, suffer a collision, or fall off your board. You must read ALL instructions and safety messages and warnings in this manual.

Riding on Hills

  • Riding on hills is dangerous: Riding on hills can be very dangerous; what goes up must come down! If you ride up a steep hill and you intend to ride down the same hill, you must be competent at controlling your speed and direction without the aid of electronic brakes if there was a malfunction or a situation where the electronic brakes fail.

We do not accept liability for accidents or damage due to the use or misuse of our products.

Battery and Charging Instructions

Battery Levels on the Remote Screen

  • Board Battery Level:
    • On the remote screen (top right part), there is a 5-grid power level indicator representing 100% / 80% / 0% / 40% / 20% of the charge level.
    • When the board battery level gets low (around 20%), the remote will start vibrating and a low voltage message will appear, with more frequency as the battery level gets lower. At 10%, the vibration will be longer. We do not recommend riding the board until the battery is fully drained, as this can cause the battery to shut down and could damage the batteries.
  • Remote Battery Level:
    • The battery level indicator for the remote is located on the top left part of the screen. It also has 5 bars indicating 100% / 80% / 60% / 40% / 20%.

Charging Your Board

  • For safe charging, please follow these instructions:
    • Use the charger provided.
    • Do not leave the board unattended while charging, or charging overnight.
    • The charger light is RED when charging and GREEN when fully charged. A full charge will take 3-4 hours.

Charging the Remote

  • Use the USB-C cable provided.
  • Full charge of the remote takes up to 30 minutes.

Battery Management

  • To extend the life of your battery:
    • Do not drain the battery fully when riding: This can reduce the battery's lifespan.
    • When storing the board for long periods of time: It is recommended to store it at around 40% charge.

Malfunctions and Warnings

Signal Loss

  • Signal Loss Warning: When the signal connection between the board and remote is lost, the remote control screen indicates disconnection with a short vibration. If the skateboard is moving, the acceleration will stop slowly, then brake slowly automatically. If the skateboard is not accelerating, it will brake slowly. If the signal is lost, the remote control will search for the skateboard's device. If it succeeds in reconnecting, the remote control will vibrate briefly, the brake will be canceled, and return to normal operation.

Lock-up Warning

  • Lock-up Warning: When the motor is locked up or completely stuck, the remote control will vibrate continuously and intermittently, and the screen will indicate lock-up. If this happens, the user should stop the skateboard and check if anything is stuck on the board or motor, clear it, and run the board again.

Overheat Warning

  • Overheat Warning: When the operating temperature of the motor is higher than 100℃ or lower than 0℃, the remote control will vibrate, and the screen will indicate overheat. The motor will lose power and stop working.
  • Note: The user should pay attention to the motor temperature. Stop using if the operating temperature of the motor is high. Let the board rest and cool off before continuing use.
    • Additional Note: Avoid steep uphills and extended riding on grass, as this can cause the motors to overheat.

Over-Current Warning

  • Over-Current Warning: When the operating current of the motor exceeds the allowed value, the remote control screen will indicate over-current, and the motor will stop working. Stop the skateboard, let it rest for a few minutes, and power it again. It can be used after the current returns to normal.
